Dr. Michael Craig is a Knoxville native who returned to East Tennessee in 2002 to practice interventional spine and musculoskeletal rehabilitation medicine. He graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, before earning his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Craig completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and fellowship training in spinal cord injury and spine medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. His practice focuses on minimally invasive, non-surgical treatment of musculoskeletal and neurologic conditions affecting the spine, neck, and pelvis, with a special interest in fluoroscopically guided spine injections, radiofrequency neurotomy, and thermal nerve ablation for chronic spinal pain.

Dr. Craig has co-authored peer-reviewed research and consumer publications, delivered invited lectures regionally and internationally, and has been named a Cityview “Top Doc” by his physician peers more than 20 times since 2002. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, gardening, spending time with his family, and empty nesting with his wife, Melanie.
